Federation Renovations on TV Show 'The Block' 2011

SMH: The Block's evening television finale included an auction of the Cameron Street homes, but only one, No. 39, sold, for $855,000. The rest found buyers in the week after, for between $860,000 and $1 million.

THE buyers of the Melbourne homes featured on Channel Nine's hit TV series The Block face falling property values and traffic chaos after the Coles supermarket group revealed plans for a $250 million, 333-dwelling apartment complex next door.
Coles has lodged plans with Yarra Council to demolish the Richmond Plaza centre between Bridge Road and Church Street and replace it with 12 storeys of apartments and shops.
